New Class Ideas....
On the web page design web site you can click on technology curriculum and see the proposed curriculum for the 2009-2010 school year. I would like to generate more interest in technology related classes. I have provided a list of possible classes for next year along with their descriptions. After reading the list of classes vote for which class you would most like to have offered next year. If you have some specific comments you can always post a comment to this message also. Here is the list of new courses: (new classes marked with *

The End of October
It is nearing the end of October and the end of the beginning of the second quarter. It is important to be keeping up on your second quarter grades as they will impact your semester grade and your semester grade is the most important thing. In Web Page Design students will begin creating web pages that will be totally original sites with totally original content. Students will be working individually to create web sites targeted towards high school age students focusing on everything from movie reviews to hair styles.
Voting on NETA logos and graphic images will end this month also so be sure to get your votes in so I can send the best images to the state competition.
Computer applications will be finishing up the most difficult word chapter on “mail merges” and next we will be introducing Microsoft Access.
Computer Science will likely change its course title to programming I and II next year to match what they state curriculum has. Students in Computer Science will be creating original programs in Visual Basic many of which will be published to the webdesign.geringschools.net webpage for all to see. If you are interested in taking a programming class you could still sign up for Computer Science at semester and learn to produce web passed computer applications using JAVA language.
